Wishing.
I must thank one person who made me realize the true meaning of making a wish. Sure when you are a child you take one of these round shaped disc things and you toss it any body of water and ta da! You made a wish.
I took one of these pennies and I carried it in my pocket from 2nd and Olive and walked in the presence of an amazing person and we pranced right on to that boardwalk. Facing many people trying to make a dime, facing others intrigued by the surf showing going on beneath us and others just being warmed up by their loved ones. We were on a mission, as we always seem to be.
We approached the end of the boardwalk and got as close to the railing as we could. I held the tiny penny with both hands guarding it at all sides and we both shut our eyes. As her and I were wishing hard and repeatedly I felt something so special. I love this girl to death. But with my wish going on repeat in my mind we make sure we are both ready. With every ounce of strength in our petite bodies, we wind up and throw our little coins of hope and we stare as they sink into the bottom of the ocean. Then we turn to each other with open arms and squeeze hoping the others wish really does come true.
It is so impossible to be selfish with her. I want the best for her and I know she deserves a long and happy life and there isn't a single doubt that she won't have that! I hope your wish comes true!
I love you VictoriaAnnWade, thanks again for teaching me the real meaning of a wish.
