brief, uncredited appearance
I think this bloke knew I was there but he was waiting for a bus and therefore had to glance up the street occasionally. As it was raining and he didn't want to get his hat wet he had to stand in the brightishly-lit Cameo foyer. He would probably have heard the shutterflaps even if they weren't being reflected into his ears by the wall behind me. Like a professional he just ignored me (and the bloke to his left who looked like he wanted to catch someone's eye and start an inaudible conversation) and carried on acting naturally.
I've been looking out recently for large, brightly-lit shop windows of shops which shut promptly at 17:00 and which have small indented entrances in which one could conceivably lurk in wait for people passing in front of the window and being suitably illuminated for picture-taking at reasonable ISO and shutter-speed. Unfortunately when one is found everyone suddenly seems to be on the other side of the street. Bus stops would be better if they were illuminated but apart from the occasional soft glow of advertising they're unfortunately gloomy most of the time despite the high interestingness quotients of the inhabitants.
