I am a total novice when it comes to photography. I have never really had the foresight to take my camera anywhere interesting with me nor the creative or technical skill to take decent photographs (and I have certainly never had the patience to put such photos as I have taken in an album). However, against all the odds, I recently purchased my first SLR camera and started snapping on 5 September 2010. I found this site through a friend who had posted some truly wonderful pictures and and enjoyable narrative, and that encouraged me to join.
