Update January 2021.
It's been over seven years now so probably time for an update.
The Blackheath Blippers are going from strength to strength with more joining and several of us also meet regularly in a Photogroup with a few non (yet) blippers.
We have had the pleasure of welcoming many overseas members to our beautiful Blue Mountains.
Mr isbi is a very supportive blip spouse and seems to have set up his own little dialogue with blippers interested in such things as motor bikes and tractors.
Our family has grown with our son producing a fifth child and our daughter recently had twins, so you will see lots of grandchildren featured in my posts.
I started off with a Nikon D90 which I loved but then changed to the more compact Olympus OMD E-M1.
I have recently upgraded to the Olympus OMD E-M1 mark 111.

October 2014
I have been blipping for a year now, so decided it was time to write something here.
I was introduced to Blipfoto by those legendary Blackheath Blippers, trisharooni and hobbs.
I have always been interested in photography, but only since taking a photo each day have I started to really understand my camera.
My husband and I are recently retired and we live in the beautiful Blue Mountains, just west of Sydney, Australia.
Our interests include travelling and working on our "hobby" farm in the nearby Megalong Valley.
We have three children and four grandchildren.
So scenery and portraits provide the subject of many of my blips.
Other than that, I try to experiment with all different types of photography and I am greatly inspired by the amazing images I see on blip.
During my first few weeks blipping three things struck me, but I have since found I am not the only one to have observed:
1. blipping is addictive
2. blippers see the world with new appreciation
3. blippers are very nice people.
