I'm a teacher who's taking a break from the "normal" world due to illness and enjoying being more peaceful, thoughtful and observant than I've allowed myself to be for years.

I recently started to take photographs of things that I wanted to write about and the two activities - writing and images - have become very pleasurably linked.

At the moment I am working around a motto that has helped me during my experience of cancer: adapt and overcome.
