I started to learn about photography when I emerged from Dixons in Wrexham at the age of 18 with a second hand Practica camera and a light meter. My avatar picture is entitled "Learning Curve" from when I bought my latest camera but it could just as well have been applied to my 18 year old self just starting out.

I am Chair of Builth Wells Photographic Club and very grateful for all the members and visitors who have contributed to my photographic education.

Best advice for photo competitions (from a visiting judge) : "Don't give the judge anything to talk about" (in your picture). Think about it........
