So here it is. Me in a nutshell.

I'm a 33 year old mother of three beautiful children, in a beautiful relationship with a beautiful man, living in beautiful surroundings and not appreciating any of said beauty. I'm determined to start showing more of an interest in what surrounds me and what could possibly be more interesting than living in an idyllic coastal town with a family I adore and ocean views from my front balcony. Did I mention that I can see whales without leaving the comfort of my home (YES they are real, although I need binoculars to see them)?

When I first came here seven years ago I spent hours upon hours taking photos and exploring the area, but it seems that the drudgery of raising children and all it entails has blinded me to the wonders of the land which surrounds me. Hmmm... did I say raising children was a drudgery? That's not true. It's just easy to get caught up in taxiing to sports, parties, school events etc etc.

Soooooooooo, it's time to do something for me. I don't know that I'll ever make a brilliant photographer, and certainly my almost-bottom-of-the-line camera won't necessarily do what I want it to, but I shall have fun and that is all that really matters. Right?
