I am more or less retired but seem to find plenty to do to fill up my time, and some of the things I do put a few coins in the piggy bank. My career has been varied, but was (and is) primarily related to teaching. I have homes in the United Kingdom (Manchester) and in Patagonia (San Martín de los Andes).

My interests include travel, birding, photography, family history, archaeology and a whole bunch of other stuff. In short, I am a firm believer in the interconnectedness of everything. 

I have visited 60+ countries. Countries in which I have lived and worked for at least a year are Spain, Mexico, Finland, Venezuela, Argentina and the United Kingdom.
