It’s 6 February, 2011 and the Lunar New Year festivities in Korea are drawing to a close. It’s tradition in Korea to make some wishes and resolutions for the year to follow. One of mine is to be more active creatively, and I’m hoping this journal will help me do just that. Being the year of the rabbit in Chinese astrology, I’ve chosen to use the name “Moon Rabbit” for my journal. It is also a symbol of good fortune in Asian folklore.
(I’m also obsessed with Jefferson Airplane’s White Rabbit, Alice in Wonderland, Watership Down and Who Framed Roger Rabbit, but perhaps that’s irrelevant.)
