I have been on blip since September 2013 and completed my 365 challenge on 10 September 2014. Whilst I enjoyed the challenge of taking a photo every day I found keeping up with the comments very time consuming.
For me it was good to break my daily addiction! Going forwards I will be more selective in adding photos to my journal.
I have been taking photographs for as long as I can remember. Joining blip has helped me to try new things. Looking for a daily photograph makes you look at everything in a different way and somehow you begin to see things you might not have done before.
There are many superb photographers on blip and for me it has been interesting to try and understand how a particular result was achieved. Blip is an incredibly helpful community so any questions of a photographic nature are quickly answered.
In the 80's my work brought me to Plymouth and we lived near Tavistock in Devon - it was at that time I discovered Dartmoor and joined the Dartmoor Rescue Group. Eight years later my work took me to Cardiff where we lived for 21 years although frequently returning to Dartmoor.
After retirement we moved back to Devon and I now live on the edge of Dartmoor and within the National Park. I started my blog - mydartmoorwalks.blogspot.co.uk in 2011 to record my walks on Dartmoor and it seemed natural to also use that name for my blipfoto journal.
I consider myself to be very fortunate to live in such a beautiful part of the country and my journal predominantly features the always changing Dartmoor landscape.
Taking a photo every day really helped me to develop my photographic skills and I completed my LRPS in July 2015.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
