I started blipping in 2007 when I was living in Portland, Oregon... on to southeast Texas in 2008 and then to Fort Worth, Texas in 2010. I'll be in FTW until May 2015 and then.. who knows where the wind will blow. And by wind, I mean Residency programs.

I began my first year of medical school in the summer of 2011. I blip and write because I love photography and words. While I aspire to become a better photographer every day, it's not my day job. I do also shoot film (medium format and 35mm) when I have the time. Time is an all too valuable commodity as of late with studying and sleeping high on my to-do list. I do what I can.

Update July 2021:
Well, a much needed update after a 7-year hiatus from Blipfoto. I stopped blipping after my sweet dog Lulu died in 2014. She got me through my tough classes as my constant companion. Finished Medical school in 2015, moved to Miami for internship/residency in Dermatology shortly thereafter. Married the love of my life during my internship. We had our daughter, Emma, in 2017. My dad was killed in March 2019 and, while I will never get over my grief, I need to get back to posting photos and words at least to work through my sadness and loss of such an amazing father, hero, role model. Graduated residency in 2019 and moved back to Austin to practice dermatology. Our pandemic baby boy was born in March 2020 and then all of the world went on maternity leave with me. Our 3rd baby is due in November 2021…

Aside from photography, I absolutely love excellent coffee, tea, foreign languages, traveling, music, and sleeping.
