After nearly 35 years working as a registered nurse in a job that I loved, I retired in August 2014 and I have not looked back.   While I had always used a camera, I only seriously learned how it worked after finding Blipfoto, which I joined about 6 months before I retired.  As my passion for photography has grown, I have come to see the world in an entirely new way and realize that I will be able to joyously entertain myself for the rest of my life.  What a gift!

I am the mother of four grown sons and grandmother to six, seven, eight, nine  ten, eleven. I live in a Maryland suburb of Washington D.C. with my retired physician husband. My father was a career U.S. Army officer and so my early life included a lot of travel.  I went to kindergarten in Japan,  elementary school in Germany and high school in France, for which I have deep affection and go back whenever I can.  My mother was an Australian, so I have close family ties there as well, and it is another favorite travel destination.  I have been so fortunate to have the opportunity to meet many blippers in person from all over the world and I truly treasure their friendship.  Blipfoto has really enriched my life.  I thank you all for the daily interaction and encouragement.
