I used to take a lot of photographs with my SLR and for some reason ground to a halt with the advent of digital cameras. I have recently bought a Panasonic Lumix TZ5 and was persuaded by my nephew to join blipfoto.com, so here I am.
I really want to improve my photography and the discipline of taking a photograph everyday (well, almost) has been good and some times frustrating. I tend to compose with the camera rather than to rely on Photoshop. This is partly because this is what I am used to and partly because I haven't a clue what I'm doing with Photoshop. I have managed to crop, rotate and enhance(?) the contrast, but that is my limit. I hope eventually to change this. So any constructive criticism is very welcome and appreciated. I have learnt a little from other blippers already.
In the meantime, I need to learn what my new camera can do. Or rather, what I can do with my new camera.
I love the beach and the dog and I often go walking along one which is nearby. Inevitably many of my photographs are taken there, I really like the light by the coast.
