A lady of leisure since retiring in August 2010.
I completed 50 different types of bird in my first 50 days on Blipfoto and got to 150 by the end of the 2nd year. As far as possible my blips are wildlife related, both urban and countryside. I live in a village on the outskirts of Sheffield so have the best of several worlds - the city and its wonderful urban art and surprising wildlife, the (often underrated) countryside of South Yorkshire, and the wild and dramatic landscapes North Eastern Dark Peak
1 Jan 2019 Update
The last couple of years have been tough ones for me. In March 2017, I was diagnosed with throat cancer. The treatment and the long road to recovery have curtailed my activities, but not my determination to keep blipping. I'm now getting back to some sort of normality and hope to resume doing what I enjoy most - birding, fungus hunting, taking photos and going on bus pass adventures.
