Long Slow Distance (LSD) refers to the long distance runner's weekly sorties during marathon and ultra marathon training. To me, it is also a metaphor for life. Never be impatient. Never hurry through life lest you miss something significant. I fear I have stumbled along the way in this respect, but I still run long and hard, chasing memories, solutions, and that elusive personal best.
