A levels - History, French, Economics. Excelled at Maths, cross-country running, truancy and drama. Failed to land lead role in production of the real nutter King Lear, after starring in Hamlet and MacBeth. Suffered post-dramatic stress: told careers master that I wanted to be a comedian. Expelled. Worked at Westland Helicopters, then in Aberdeen as a photographic printer, disc jockey and political activist. Offshore North Sea and beyond 1980-1992. Managed photo businesses; since 2004 a website producer. A Dad, grandfather, partner to Yvonne for 27 years. Responsible for my hooligan German Shepherd, Riley.
