Formally trained as an electrical engineer, I've always thought of myself as an artist at heart. I grew up on a farm in rural central Georgia (United States) surrounded musical and visual artists and embraced photography from an early age with my first Instamatic camera. Over the years, I progressed from 35mm to medium format to the large formats I primarily shoot today (8"x10" and 7"x17"). Although I don't see it ever replacing my love for film, I'm really enjoying dabbling in digital photography and view blipfoto as both an inspiration to take my work further and an outlet for my digital experiments.
