My lifestyle has changed dramatically, being hit from behind while riding my bicycle by a vehicle at 45 + mph isn’t ideal!
Thank the Lord that after suffering multiple rib fractures, 3 vertebrae (with lumbar 1 being reduced by several centimetres and fragments pushed into my spinal canal), displaced lung, fractured clavicle and nose that I am still alive and breathing.
I am on the path to recovery but with some paralysis and varying degrees of lumbar discomfort, bladder and bowel issues are ongoing but I’m hoping that in time this might clear up.
Due to some family insanity in May I was evicted from my Aunts house where I had been for over 5 years. Not ever did we cross words and for the past few years had been a carer for her, Dougal her cat and the garden when fully fit.
Fortunately as is the case our good Lord provided for me in the form of a camper van which I have named Amadeus (God’s Love), together with good friends nearby, far and wide the journey since then has been quite an interesting adventure.
My health has always been my wealth and nothing has changed other than some mobility. The situation has increased my time in nature and basically forced my early retirement. I have been gifted a four-legged furry friend called Dippy. We keep each other company and I am very grateful for the opportunity to watch and guide his development.
I am currently on a small farm Near Barnstaple in North Devon. I’m in possession of some of my late brother’s quite valuable camera equipment but enjoy using my iPhone 13 mini for easy access and pocket storage.
I’m a keen naturalist living in North Devon, kindly introduced to this site by a true friend Dr Huw Thomas.
My iPhone is my camera.
I run and cycle and swim when the sea is warm enough.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful photos with me and for your kind comments and stars.
I use my iPhone to take my blips as it sits comfortably in my cycling top pockets, but I have been gifted a Sony alpha200 which I am hoping to use alongside.
