I am married and have lived in Christchurch all of my life, currently residing in Cashmere Hills. We have 2 daughters and 4 grandsons. The first 33 years of my working life were spent teaching Chemistry at St. Andrew's College where we also spent two 8 year spells in charge of junior boys boarding. I then worked as a residential property manager for 12 years.

2021 update
I retired in April and am now enjoying my new walking group, working in the garden, having more time to drive our two older cars (1938 Morris 8 and 1962 Morris Minor 1000) and following my race horses. These are standardbreds (pacers and trotters) which race with a driver in the cart. We are lucky to live close to Addington Raceway which is New Zealand's premier harness racing course.
