October 2024 update:
I moved back to Widnes, Cheshire with my husband, about a mile from where I was born, in 2002, after spending 17 years working in London.
Took early retirement from IKEA, after being made redundant at the end of 2019. I used to love my job travelling all over the world, but surprisingly I don’t miss it at all (just a few of the people).
The past 5 years have gone by in a flash.
I started my photography journey in 2014 when I needed an excuse to get away from my laptop when my husband was working at the weekends. I’m a Canon girl, currently using an EOS 90D body.
I’ve always been into wildlife and birds especially, so photographing wildlife seemed a natural progression and most of my blips tend to be something from the natural world, although after joining a camera club recently I occasionally branch out into other genres.
I was introduced to Blipfoto by one of my husband’s friends and have never looked back. I’ve had a couple of large gaps due to personal reasons but always find my way back. I love seeing what everyone else has been up to but often fall behind with commenting as life just gets in the way :)
