Dec 2024: reaching 5000 blips?! Really enjoy living in Middelburg. We absolutely love being here. 5000 blips seems like an eon, so much has changed. However, I still try to find the little (and big) things to take a photo a day. Just to capture life as it is. Love the community feel of Blip! Onwards to the next 5000?!

Aug 2021: after 15 years in Belgium (and partially instigated by the Covid pandemic) we have moved back to our home country - The Netherlands. We now live in a new part of the country, Walcheren (one of the islands of Zeeland) that we are starting to explore. We will still be connected to Belgium through work (although Bert is mostly home-based since the start of the pandemic) and I will continue to teach part time in Antwerp.

June 2019... almost at the 3000 photos, not managing a photo every day, but most days. Looking back through the journal it gives a great overview of all the small and big(ger) things that happen over nearly 10 years of family life.

Born in The Nethelands, became a mum in the UK and now live with husband and 2 daughters in Antwerp, Belgium. So yes, I am European.

About 5 years ago I changed careers and since I have completed a PGCSE and have been working until May 1st 2016 in an International School in Antwerp as a science and IB biology teacher. Now I am preparing to start in a new school in August.
