A friend of mine (Pixel Smiths) introduced me to Blipfoto and I was instantly inspired. I love photography and this site is great to learn from and keep me creative.

My camera was a mother's day gift from my awesome sweetheart, who wanted me to have a camera that wasn't big & bulky, but had a SLR feel to it as that seems to be what I really like. Now that I've been doing this for a while I am thinking about upgrading.

For the past 2.5 years I have been documenting my daily life (while living in New Zealand), but that has changed. We moved back to the States so the daily photo challenge continues albeit I have slowed down a bit...

More importantly, each day I take the gift of the small details in life and simply appreciate them through the lens. Sometimes it's easy to see that Life is good and having captured this in some small way will also remind me of this when I'm faced with a bit of adversity. I also think my family will like to look back at my glimpse at this amazing journey.
