Have just moved back to UK after 24 years in NE Brazil, and hoping that taking a daily photo will help me fall in love with suburbia, like I did with the Sertão... hence the name, lovingSutton.

- Winter 2014 and two years later - thought I'd better add a bit as it's now visible whenever anyone goes on my journal.

Looking for a daily photo has certainly helped me see the beauty here in Sutton - thanks, Blip, and all you who have encouraged and commented, both real and virtual friends.

Married, with three great kids, a son-in-law, and this year, a gorgeous new grandson, Zion, born to Deb and Sam. Also, a wonderful church community - I am blessed.

- And now (early 2016)... Blip has been saved and we have moved to the Alentejo region in Portugal, hence the name change from lovingSutton to amandoAlentejo (amando means loving). And now I need to see the beauty in a new place and learn to love it - so glad to be able to document the journey here on Blip.

- April 2016 - A gorgeous new granddaughter, Allegra, sister to Zion - VERY blessed.

- February 2021, update for my 3000th Blip, who'd have thought it. Gained a new son-in-law almost a year ago, just before Britain's first lockdown for Covid19. Now pretty much isolating on our two and a bit hectares near Mourão, in the Alentejo region of Portugal, and longing to be able to see family again...

August 2022. Another sweet granddaughter, Eden, born to Julia and Tom. So glad to be able to see family fairly often again.

September 2023. And now we have a lovely daughter-in-law, Felicity, married to our son, Paul, on the 2nd.
