Living on the edge of the English Lake District I have a lot of lovely scenery around me but I work so don't get out onto the fells much at the moment. I really love flowers, birds and animals so have introduced my two gorgeous cats (one's not really mine but likes our house) to the world of blip.
I started photography with a Box Brownie progressing to Instamatic, then Pentax ME Super. My first digital was a Nikon Coolpix 5000 and started using an HP Photosmart for my early blips. On 26/6/09 Bought a Panasonic DMC-FZ28. On 8/8/10 My elder daughter let me do a swap with the Lumix so that I could have some time with a Canon 300D. Next I was given a Canon 30D, now I have a Canon 7D. No, now I have a Canon 5D Mk III when I upgraded to give #2 Daughter my 7D when the 30D failed.
Blip has encouraged me to learn such a lot, not only about my camera, but about the artistry of photography and editing in Photoshop. I find other blippers so inspiring.
2020 Update:
In 2011 I began teaching Digital Photography along with another Blipper. This lead us to opening a Studio in 2014. Since then I have loved helping people move from Auto and enjoy better photography as a result.
In 2016 I gained the Licentiate distinction from the Royal Photographic Society and am striving to move ahead from this. All of this is due to Blipfoto, I haven't missed a day, and I constantly give thanks for having being introduced to it.

Other blippers voted this my best blip so far.
Close on its heels is this one.
Though this one got higher ratings and is cuter.
