I have had a camera in my hand just about as long as I can remember - certainly a Box Brownie when I was little. Photographs have always been an important record of every possible activity, most often outdoors, in the mountains or involved somehow with the sea. There's been a subtle change over the past 10 or so years, where the camera+photography has become an end in itself, instead just recording what I've been doing.
I’ve loved Blipfoto more than I ever imagined I would. The contact with other Blippers has been inspiring.
I'm a mother, a widow and a grandmother, and have five beautiful grandchildren, plus a great granddaughter.
After we left our backcountry farm in 1980 I became involved in music teaching, mountaineering, scuba diving and kayaking, plus working in the mental health area, an area that brings me into contact with inspiring people.
A comment about my Nickname:
Daring2Go was the result of trying to find/work out a name for my blog, a few years ago. I was about to travel overseas by myself on a challenging trip, including Italy, Svalbard, Greenland, Iceland and Alaska, and so sat down to write 'an abstract' to try to ferret out what was driving me. I ended up jotting down that I couldn't really say that I was raring to go, because I was feeling somewhat apprehensive - and that led to Daring2Go.
