Darryl Joel Berger's first short story collection -- called Punishing Ugly Children -- was published by Killick Press in Fall, 2010. This same manuscript won the 2007 David Adams Richards Prize. His fiction has appeared in magazines like Prairie Fire, Windsor Review, Geist, Subterrain, The Fiddlehead, The Portland Review, The New Quarterly, Event and many others.
