Breath control

Sorry blippers, a busy start to the week spending two whole days in breathing apparatus. We reviewed all the basics from Friday's class, including a surprise - "The tones go; you have two minutes to be ready to go, fully dressed." ... Made it.

Tuesday was my first encounter with being "blacked out". We were fully dressed, then had black covers placed over the visors in our facepieces. No more vision, so we rely on sound and touch. We had to do a number of different types of searches thus blindfolded. I found the experience meditative, really.

Today's blip, however, is of a strength testing device. We have to move a sliding weight on the middle track by pounding it with the orange dead blow hammer. Hard work.
