Brotherly Head Scratching

Three tall blue-eyed brothers arrived this morning to install the suspended boarded ceiling in the Great Room.

Because the sloping line of the ceiling flows out through the windows to the soffit of the roof overhang, accuracy in setting out the supporting grid was paramount.

To add to the carpentry conundrum, the top track for the sliding oak shutters also had to be integrated into the slope.

Sections were sketched out on cardboard boxes, walls and scraps of paper until everybody was happy with the solution.
