Duality

Portraits and Poems is an exhibition of photography by artist Chris Park that contrasts a poem with a portrait of its author. The exhibition will tour across the UK over the next two years and is currently in Carnoustie Library.

His project includes some of the most gifted poets based in Scotland, or of Scottish origin. The photography focuses on capturing the character of each individual.

Chris works in the medium of photography, he moved to Dundee to study Fine Art at Duncan of Jordanstone. After graduating in June 2006, he assisted a London based photographer before taking up the RSA John Kinross Scholarship.

Chris has exhibited widely and has won several major awards including the RSA Keith Prize and the RSA John Kinross Scholarship and currently lives in Edinburgh.

This was a quick snap of one of the portraits taken at the end of my yoga session. The exhibition was a very pleasant surprise and I'll be back tomorrow to study in more detail.
