Smile
16 months 16days
We've had smiles today. And giggles. And climbing, playing, and bouncing. And significantly improved nappy situation. Thank God. Literally. My little lady's been horribly poorly, lost a bundle of weight with it and is still catching up on her energy, but we're both way happy she's almost on form again.
She slept well, woke at 2.30, but had a brief feed then slept really well, in my bed, until 7am. She ate a good breakfast, played for a bit. We baked some buns, which she enjoyed and she helped me do a bit of polishing. Briefly. Until she discovered that climbing the bedguard on my bed was more fun.
After a midmorning fruit break, she demanded to go out. So I let her walk. She walked round the block, chased the ducks at the village green, and walked home again. She was a bit less sure-footed than normal, slightly slower, but she did it. Bless her, she was shattered when we got back! She ate a bit of lunch and conked out for a good sleep, happy with going in her cot for her nap again - yesterday was the first day she'd go in her cot for her daytime sleeps, until then I'd had to lay with her, on the sofa or my bed.
We've not been out this afternoon, we've played. I made bean and root veg casserole for tea, and some lemon mousse. I remember thinking earlier this week when she couldnt even walk how I wished for the Katie who goes to the fridge, leaves the door open whilst she stands dipping her finger in the tub of soft cheese. She did today. Only I insisted on her taking only one teaspoon full and moving it away from, rather than risk germ-ifying (technical phrase) the tub!
I just wanted to thank all you fab blippers for being so kind and supportive whilst she's been poorly, it's been lovely to come and here to the getwell wishes for her, thankyou. We're very much missing our friends and are looking forward to getting back to normal
