Spring, sprung?

Lovely to have a change of scenery.... Down in west sussex, where spring is considerably further along than in Edinburgh.

I've always loved the catkins, so soft and nice looking, and a sure sign of spring! I also like the word - I think it reminds me vaguely of the barely concealed amusement my parents expressed when, as a small child, I would very sincerely bring up my concerns over being "catnipped"....
