Mothering Sunday

These are the tulips Carys insisted on giving me yesterday. The pink are from her and the red are from William. I was treated to a lie in again this morning and then was given two pots of soil, with something planted in each, a handmade and a bought card from each child and a little hand decorated box from William that had chocolates in it. I feel quite spoilt. We then headed of to Church. William was quite grotty due to being woken by his sister too early this morning but he rallied enough to flirt with some of the older ladies we sit near.

This afternoon was spent in the garden, initially all together, then Daddy took W off for a walk so that Carys and I could plant some stuff in our raised beds. So far we have: Strawberry plants, runner beans, sugar snaps, onions and both carrots and leeks sown from seed. We also planted some sunflower seeds and have potatoes chitting on the window sill. It all looks great now but who knows how long for, we didn't manage to eat much from the beds last year. Hopefully this year we will do better.

Spag. Carbonara for tea as cooked by Daddy and it caused silence at the dinner table for quite a while, as both kids shovelled it into their mouths as quickly as they could. Good to see (you almost got a blip of it, but I have blipped them a lot recently). Now off to enjoy a small glass of white wine with my lovely husband and (hopefully) have a quiet evening.

Lovely Mothering Sunday.
