my day started with a cup of fresh, real, local, delicious coffee (for a country who grows great coffee, you'd be surprised how exclusively the people drink instant... but can you blame them when the export price is so good). life was great.

while making our way through the coffee farm where said coffee was grown, chatting with the farmer along the way, we encountered a beehive - part of their integrated farming techniques. but upon opening it, we were surprised to find this dear little venomous viper inside! unfortunately, it had to be killed for the safety of the farmers, but you can be sure we didnt let the chance to learn something go to waste!
