...Another Goose for your pond.....

Up and out early this morning to fish at the Red Bridge pond.......you know the one, the one with the enormous erection chimney that I blipped on August 18th last year.

The local wild fowl, ducks and Canada Geese, are all very frisky at the moment. There are three pairs of the Canada Geese and bloody hell are they loud.....and they crap every where as well.

The fishing was ok but not spectacular so after about an hour I went for a wander to see Roy, Sam and Charlie on the opposite bank. I nearly stood on this lady, she's built her nest right beside the footpath on the edge of the pond. Not the safest place I wouldn't have thought. She kept a very strict eye on me as I turned back to get the camera. When I got back she was in exactly the same spot, still with the watchful expression, never took her eyes off me for a second. She's obviously sitting on eggs, but as she didn't move the whole six hours I was there I've got no idea how many.

About half an hour later two ducks (well, tecnically a duck and a drake) climbed out onto the banking beside me and proceeded to have fairly quick but very noisy sex! So just be grateful you've got the nursing goose and not the Duck porn!

Off to Dad's tomorrow to take my sis for her, hopefully, all clear after the op, will blip the result tomorrow night. Won't be able to blip on Friday as we're at the Boss's dad's house and he doesn't hold with these computer things. Will have to back blip on Saturday.
