.....Hello, hello, I'm back again.....

After a gruelling week at work it was so good to see the Son and Heir, Young Helen and Charlotte tonight for a couple of hours.

The Boss has gone to see her dad, he's a bit under the weather at the moment. We are going out tomorrow night for a curry with two of our friends that we haven't seen for a couple of months. At the end of this month the old gang from the Hockey club are having one of our infrequent "walkabout" suppers. One house for starters....one house for main course ...and one house for desserts.....with a brisk walk between houses. This time we've drawn starters at Mandy and Pat's...so that's our excuse for the night out...we have to plan a range of starters for 16 people....so what better way than over a Ruby and a few beers.

We all live fairly close to each other but our house is the furthest from the other 7 so we rarely have to host...the walk is way too long...unless we start here or finish here....so later in the Summer we're going to have a barbie here. We used to have the Chairman's Ball here every Christmas when we were all coaching together...so it will be good to have a summer event for a change.

The evening takes some planning, food and booze has to be delivered and prepared at the three venues so that we can all start in one place....and then move on...without having to lug vast quantities of alcohol with us. i suspect the men might ask me to supply a bottle of finest Russian vodka for the end of the night!
