The Niece and Nephew

Schools broke up for Easter holiday today and the niece and nephew arrived early this morning and stayed for the day. When I got back in the afternoon, they were doing their homework and watching TV at the same time. Grandparents spoil them :)

The younger one is 7 years old and he was singing along to the song before each cartoon. I forgot kids do that! So cute!

Watching cartoons is a great help in learning Italian. I particularly enjoy Courage the Cowardly Dog. It's action-packed, about a cowardly dog (no way Cherie!) who saves his owners' lives every episode. The owners (an elderly couple living on a farm in the middle of somewhere like Texas) just think he's dumb and are always completely oblivious to how close to death they are. The man's classic line is, "Stupido cane!" (aka Stupid Dog!)

I like silly cartoons a lot.
