Lost One!

The trouble with using such big feet to scratch yourself with is that you lose the occasional feather!

This was another visit to the angling club over the Border. We might have seen the kingfishers. We know it's illeagal to photograph their nests or cause the nesting birds any disturbance, but the anglers see them close-by, all the time. A shot would have been nice, a sighting would have been nice, or a glimpse....

The swans were more than willing to pose.

I was having an experiment today with an old 300mm lens from film days. I'd bought a x2 converter and an adapter ring for my Canon DSLR. Not being a zoom lens, framing was dificult and the manual focusing was a bit crude. It will need a bit of practice, but I thought this was good for starters!
