Tulips
Took father in law out today for a mystery tour and Easter treat. He had no idea where he was going or what he was going to see. We took him 1st to Biddulph Grange Gardens in Staffordshire to see the Rhododendrons then onto Little Morton hall to visit the finest black and white building in Britain. Now, I don't usually do garden visits. the odd one every now and then is ok but I was well impressed with the gardens at Biddulph. it has been restored by the National Trust and the original landscaping is so well done you get a surprise at nearly every turn. I don't do tulips probably because of the brief displays but wow planted in on mass they can be awesome. This shot is letter boxed cropped with a dark yew hedge for background effect. I tried a vertical crop but it didn't work as well. F-I-L loved his day out, for nearly 90 he does really well. Tomorrow he will remember he had a great day out but won't remember where he has been so we bought him some postcard to remind him.
