An artists inspiration...

I've had better days. Shan't bore you with it.

We walked the dog in bushy park and heard earlier that there was torrential rain at the football match in Chelsea, which we could not fathom as we had been sat in the garden, B actually sunbathing, well, catching a few zzzzz's as she has to be up at 4am tomorrow...to see the sun rise.

So...we arrived at the park and only then, noticed in the distance toward Central London the rain dropping in sheets! You can see it centre left of the blip, as if a hatch had been opened an the sea was falling from the sky!

Over and behind us, the sun was setting throwing it's warm glow across the metropolis of Hampton but as we turned, were amazed at how the sky was changing from West to East almost like a rainbow, one that was losing it's saturation as it became darker and grey. Believe it or not, there is actually not much processing applied to this shot, just some added saturation to help you see the effect the sun's rays were having on the fast developing storm. The thunder started and we made a hasty retreat to the car.

Downloading the shots, I could see how the likes of Turner will have been inspired to create and share his vision in colour. Oh to have the talent. I just point and shoot and hope others can see the tenuous link my minds eye makes. It would require an imagination near warped and deluded as mine.
