Camera is on the blink!!!

First, my Flash gun would not work. Damn nuisance. Moved heaven and earth to locate and acquire a new hotshoe plate. Not easy - any of you who have tried will surely be able to testify to.

Didn't solve the problem!

Checked the little switch in the hotshoe, and lo and behold, clearly damaged. just fell out, leaving a bit of black plastic left behind in the hole. So, Hotshoe plate back on....and now...pop-up flash won't work!!!

Thought I'd just try on the flash gun again. It now works! How confusing is that!I think I know which I prefer. :)
