Fisherking

...because you are....Gold...

Up at the crack of dawn again for a day's fishing at Red Bridge. Only 5 of us this week, cloudy day that eventually, about 10.00 a.m., turned into blazing sunshine and about 23 degrees.

The fish in the blip wasn't caught by me, but by Shaun and it is a Golden Tench. Tench are usually a lovely olive green but every so often one of these appears. It's a mutant/hybrid form and it is a vivid yellow. Shaun was very excited when he caught it because we didn't even know it was in the pond and it's never been caught before...so obviously, with it being a new species, Shaun wins this years Specimen fish trophy!

It got so hot the fishing died off and we jacked in about 1.30, but we've tried some baits and methods for the opening match of the Summer League next Sunday..

The Boss has been at work all day, 7.30-7.30 so I cooked for myself and Rach and the S&H and YH, roast chicken, roast potatoes, peas, carrots, sweet corn and spuds. Very nice , even if I do say so myself.

Been out for a beer with D, B is still in Oz. You can tell it's a Bank Holiday tomorrow, the pub was full of never before seen individuals, so couldn't get a seat, so no crib tonight.

Not sure what to do tomorrow, if the weather's good.........oh wait..........I might just go fishing again!

Das vidanya moy padruga.
