King of Chips
He didn't eat the burger but he ate ALL his chips and most of the 5Alive drink :) That was after he'd been sick in the car just as we arrived.
You can't have everything can you...
The reason we were here was thanks to frankly stupid cravings. Onion bhajis and burger king fries. One we couldn't solve but the other we could - so for that and that alone I got out of bed and dressed this morning! The closest burger king to us is a 15-20 minute drive away and we had to go there last time I was pregnant as well. It's the diet coke as well (although we are now stocked up on coke zero so I don't go bonkers on caffeine).
Anyway. Poor little Ben. Maybe it was the combination of too much yoghurt followed immediately by a car journey :( But he seemed much better afterwards. And even better after we'd got home and he'd had a nap. Even if he was still a bit stinky. Car seat has now been completely stripped and cleaned and the cover washed, and Steve's even hoovered the car! I am impressed. And grateful: it was getting ridiculous in there.
We've even satisfied my craving for onion bhajis this evening although the bhuna was too much for me... I didn't even touch the naan bread, I was stuffed. I went to bed and Steve bathed Ben. A lovely clean moisturised Ben joined me later, woke me up completely, started snoring, and so I have escaped downstairs for a bit of peace (and to watch the final of Masterchef, of course!).
Mixed bag sickness-wise today, but not a complete washout like Monday. Officially 9 weeks today by my reckoning, I read somewhere it's around about now that the placenta starts to take over hormone production for the jumping grape growing inside. That can only be a good thing can't it! I also got various letters through with appointments for booking in (incredibly, they've booked an appointment to visit me at home to do this marathon booking in session, the diabetic nurse said the notes take about 2 hours to go through and complete so I was getting a bit panicky about the possibility of having to entertain Ben for two hours in some room at the surgery. But the midwife is coming here so Ben can do what he wants to do - probably sleep as it's that time in the afternoon!), an appointment for my dating scan, and a copy letter to my GP from the last diabetic clinic I went to saying I've got gestational diabetes (which I haven't) and am on two different drug treatments when if I was on both I imagine it could make me pretty sick so maybe I ought to phone the clinic tomorrow and get them to send a corrected letter out so my GP doesn't start panicking or get the complete wrong idea of what's going on!
Ought to go to bed now but the remains of the takeaway are still strewn around the room and we ought to do something about them really before going to bed, rather than watching indiana jones.....
G'night blip world :)
