Cool dude

The only pic I took today, Ben trying on the frames Steve chose at the opticians today. Well, one of the pairs of frames anyway. It's been an expensive afternoon even with the 2nd pair of frames free for both of us.

I am exhausted and haven't been able to shake off this headache that started around 4am... Did a bit of work this morning which means I can finally send an invoice off over the weekend which will almost pay for our specs today.

I dislike diet coke. I also dislike coke zero, after finding it isn't caffeine free. My headache is a direct result of too much cola and not enough juice yesterday: dehydration and caffeine come-down.

I did smile lots though when Ben ran into the opticians while I was still waiting, followed hot on his heels by Nathaniel and Libby! The two boys spent a giggly 10 minutes running round, falling down, flying and laughing and making everybody smile (except the mum with a similar aged toddler who I'm guessing wouldn't have played so nicely - or would have run off - if she'd let him get down to join in) until Nat ran in front of an old lady with a walking stick and made her wobble... At that point Libby decided it was time to go :) Ben got a HUGE compliment from one of the ladies at the optician, saying he was the most charming and well-behaved small child they'd had in all day! Then he got bored.... Not surprising really, I was getting bored too by the end of our two hour stint.

Time for bed now. I've had my sausage and chip supper, Steve's off out to smallgroup, and Ben hasn't napped at all today so I'm hoping he'll be asleep fairly quickly...
