Pause
A very full day, but thankfully no motorways and, with that wedding keeping everyone entertained, very quiet London streets for beetling around on.
Our friends' neighbours have the builders in and their 7.30 start - though unwelcome - did at least get us up and about early enough to squeeze everything in. First off to visit M and A with the delightful baby W who charmed the socks off all of us. Absolutely gorgeous (and now my Godson, which of course just makes him even more cuddlable to me). We watched (sort of) the wedding there, with suitably republican asides in amongst all the "who is that?" and "I don't like her hat".
Then on to see a blipper and family, unexpectedly in London for the weekend, and just time for a quick catch up and a roll around on her new garden carpet. Back then to our gracious hosts, via the park where Conor learned that the 'no sticks on roundabouts' rule equally applies in London. Despite me and Conor getting lost between park and house, there was still time before bed for him to learn another lesson: if you fall on a hard hat you might just split your lip.
Dinner with our hosts (curry - yum) and friends N and K, recently engaged rouned off the day perfectly.
I see I've gone on a bit so no time to talk about the karaoke session that somehow went on until 3am...
