Carmel beach

After breakfast, we drove down to Carmel, We walked around the town for a little while and then went to the beach. There wasn't a could in the sky but the wind was very cold. The kids were quite happy to play on the beach. I couldn't believe how much dog poo there was on the beach. This is quite an affluent town.
When I couldn't stand the cold any longer, we got back in the car and drove down the scenic route along the coast. We had lunch at the shopping mall and did some shopping. The girls wanted to buy some clothes from Hollister (which are hugely overpriced in the UK). I dropped Eric and Sue off in town and took the kids back to the pool so that they could go swimming in the pool.
We then went back to town to meet Eric and Sue and went out for dinner.
