No time to waste?

100 for 100

I am a liar and a cheat. Okay, maybe also slightly hard on myself. I deliberately skipped yesterday's blip, even though I've got some nice shots to choose from, because I have had this idea in my head about what I wanted to do for my first 'blipday' (not a real blipday, only 100 not 365). Yesterday I was in Edinburgh (mostly at the Botanics) all day and at a meeting all evening, so couldn't do it. I'll fill in the gap tomorrow.

There are 100 items here, each of them linked - mostly spuriously slightly tenuously - to previously blips. Had fun pulling them together over the last few days/this morning.
EDIT: just a thought - maybe I should take the photo away and see how many of the items you can remember....

I'm glad my dad introduced me to blip - also my sister (and now my mum is on here too). It's great fun, a great online community (so much better than fb!) - thank you for all your comments and the odd favourite too (especially vpt). It's also got me using my camera much more, and I'm getting back to my old ways of seeing the world much more clearly! Although I've only hit 100, I'm not going to try to force myself to blip every day from now on. Hopefully most days, but I'm just going to enjoy it and take it as the photos come!

Here's my favourite 5 from the first 100:
Bird on the wing
The Crow 2
Eddie
Diamonds
Battered and Lost

Three people to mention finally, the two other than my family who really helped me get into this with their regular commenting from my very first week, as well as blips of brilliant quality, photographically and as journals. Firstly, Kath Gordon. Secondly, ionnature. This morning I had a look at her blip, and heard the news about the sudden death of Amalarian/Molly. She was always so encouraging in her comments, especially as I have little confidence in my own work! And her blips were wonderful - so full of personality, with writing which regularly made me laugh and was so insightful into people's characters and life generally. She will be missed. Just a few days ago she ordered some novels I recommended, The Sparrow and A Thread of Grace by Mary Doria Russell, another writer with keen insight into humanity. The titles of those books are taken from the following quotes:
'No matter how dark the tapestry God weaves for us, there's always a thread of grace' (Hebrew saying).
'Not one sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it' (Matthew 10:29).
