Learning day by day

Happy 4th Birthday my Min.

Wow she had a great day. Opened a mountain of presents before breakfast, letting William open the cards. Then had sausage sandwiches for breakfast and caught the train to Kings Cross. Tube to Camden then we walked along the canal to Regent's Park and spent the day at the Zoo as requested some time back by Carys.

Personnally I prefer Whipsnade as it seems the animals have more space but we still had a lovely day. We saw Zebra, Opaki, Gorillas, Parrots, Lions and Tigers to name a few. Carys had a treat and went on the Carousel on her own, the look on her face as you can see is one of sheer delight and enjoyment.

She loved watching the show about various animals that climb and fly, the parrots being a favourite but I loved the hairy Armadillo and the Harrier Hawk. William had a little snooze as we went round the Aquarium and Carys asked if she could have an ice lolly but 'not one of those (pointing to the Nestle sign) as they stop babies having Mummy milk'. Bless.

Walked back to Chalk Farm Tube. Picnic on the train home and rolled into bed with her new pillow or cushion as she called it, she hasn't had a pillow up until now except when we have been in hotels, so she is feeling so grown up.

Can't quite believe how far she walked today, even our feet are aching, but I think it was worth it. Happy 4th Birthday Carys. We love you more than you can imagine. xx
