Another day ... Another Flower

I'm finally getting mum settled into some kind of routine. It's strange because it has become almost role reversal in the fact that instead of mum looking after us when we were kids, washing, dressing feeding and putting to bed. It is now Shaki and I that are doing all that for mum. Luckily her sense of humour is such that we are all dealing with it in a good way.

Downside is mum has suffered more memory loss due to having the CPR and "dying" for 7 minutes. She has effectively forgotten how to do simple things, like using the remote for the tv ... Food is an issue because strangely all the things she liked to eat before, she now won't touch!

Shaki is off from her teaching job as it is half term and we took mum the short walk to Ealing broadway for some fresh air and her favourite Costa Strawberry Milkshake. Success, she loved being out and certainly made her feel better.

Now she is back and watching the French Open Tennis, something she and I both love. We used to go to a lot of the tennis tournaments together and it is nice that she still loves to watch it.

Sorry it is another flower blip, but haven't really had time to do much else at the moment.

In LELVILLE Today .......

Gaviscon - for the lovely ulcer I have acquired through the stress of the last few weeks

Costa Coffee - For their lovely Strawberry Milkshakes that enticed my mum to go out today!

French Open Tennis - Our saving grace in helping Mum settle down and something to focus on!

Humour - For all three of us, as we are going to need it.

Flowers - for filling the house full of lovely summery smells.

Friends - for all their love and support

Shaki - for taking on the huge task of helping me look after mum and for the hugs when it all gets a bit too much!

Blip Buddies - for letting me share and for all your wonderful comments ;-) xx
