Apparently the jury is out over whether Jimi kissed guys or skies. According to the kiss this guy website, pointed out to me by Ceridwen the other day, he often deliberately sang "kiss this guy" during live performances. Consensus seems to be that it was "kiss the sky" on the original recording but that he turned it to "kiss this guy" for a laugh when he found out how many people misheard it.
