..talking 'bout my generation....

In fact, four generations...Great Grandad, Grandad, Daddy and Charlie.

Tonight was Charlie's head wetting party. Invited were, people who've known Chris for a long time, his Grandad, my sister, D & V, B & S, his hockey coaches from over the years, my fishing mate Shaun and the gorgeous Cath, Caroline and Gail from my work, his primary school teacher Therese, the list goes on.

I supplied the beer and wine, a ton of nibbles, three quiches, french bread, and one of my famous chillis (toned down under strict instruction from the Boss). Very informal, come when you like, stay as long as you like. The first guests came at 5.15, the last left at 10.15.

Charlie was a star, she was passed from person to person, mainly (but not only) the women, never cried once, slept for about three hours, had two huge feeds and smiled a lot.

Now Grandad is knackered, just the dishwasher to load, the bottles to put in the bin, the left over chilli to go in the freezer (we've sent the S & H off with a portion for tomorrow's lunch) and the tidying up to do.
